Fall has arrived! Pamala is teaching the Stella Pumpkin doll this Saturday, October 1st. What a perfect way to start the month off! We have one or two spaces left. Call the shop to sign up.

Join us for our HOLIDAY WORKSHOP! November 7th-November 12th. Come in during that week and work on fun gifts for your friends and family. We will have lots of kits to choose from, in ALL price ranges. We will also be offering two evenings during that week to come in and work. The cost is $10.00, plus the purchase of a kit. The price covers the whole week, so you can come in as many times as you like during the week. Some of the samples will be on view during the Reindeer Dash!

The Reindeer Dash kicks off on Thursday, October 6th! Visit all the participating stores and receive a free fat quarter from each, plus a free pattern. This year we are handing out fat quarters from the Christmas line by Maywood Studios named Fresh Fallen Snow. Lots of cute prints! You have from Thursday the 6th through Saturday the 8th, to visit all stores.

October is breast cancer awareness month! We are donating a quilt to the Brighton Collectibles store in the Tyler Mall, Riverside, CA. This is our 3rd year and it has been a huge success. Brighton will raffle off the quilt, and all proceeds will benefit The Pink Ribbon Place, an agency that provides education, financial aid for treatments, support and more, to women in the Inland Empire, who are in need. The event begins at 6PM, September 30th at the Brighton store. Stop by and purchase a ticket. See our blog tomorrow for a preview picture of the quilt.

It's Class Time...

The Quilt Run Continues...

There is still time...all stores will be open Saturday, June 25th from 9AM to 9PM and Sunday, June 26th from 9AM to 5PM. Collect charms and a pattern from each store. We have Riley Blake Halloween and Christmas fabric in stock. We kitted this cute pattern featuring the Halloween line & have a really cute Christmas one kitted also.

This sunflower quilt is a class in August, taught by Suzanne. The pattern actually makes 9 sunflowers, but Suzanne used 4 for this wallhanging, and the rest in a tablerunner. A great idea if you don't want a big quilt.

Sweet Pickens by Darlene Zimmerman, a Clothesline Club line. Our Clothesline club is going strong. We also have exclusive kits made with Clothesline Club patterns.

Lakeside's newest line. CUTE!! We cut some charm packs too.

This is just one block from the Baltimore Liberty, machine applique class being taught by Erin Dillon. If you ever wanted to learn how to do beautiful machine applique by machine, then this is the class for you. Erin is extremely knowledgeable and patient. The evening class is full, but a daytime class starts Friday, June 2nd. This will be an ongoing class.

Another series of our beginning quilt class starts in June. The ladies from the last class had an awesome time & formed a great sewing group friendship.

Spring Fling is coming soon!

We are joining 7 other stores for our annual Spring Fling run. There are some great prizes & each store will be handing out a fat quarter and a pattern block. Visit all the shops to receive a copy of the complete pattern. Each shop has done the pattern in unique fabrics - here is our version: we will have fabric kits available while supplies last.

Also coming up in March are the following classes:
Pamala's Party - Each month Pamala picks a kit to teach a class on. The class fee is free if you buy the kit. This month she has designed a cute Easter Quilt.
Beginning Quilt Class - In this class you wil make a cute Sampler tabletopper quilt. Learn to make some of the most popular quilt blocks, and techniques needed to move on to more difficult projects.

Pamala is also teaching another texture magic class. Learn to make an adorable tablerunner using texture magic, a fun process used to shrink fabric.

We started kitting monthly banners and they have become a huge hit! These banners are perfect for hanging on the wall, or to give as a gift. We have January thru June ready to go! Here is a picture of March, April & May. Hurry in - they are selling fast!

For those who would like to honor their military hero, we have some fabric that honors four branches, the Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines. This quilt pictured was made for the sample makers son, who served in the Air Force.

We won a best booth award at Road to California! We were soooo excited! It makes all the hard work worth it. A special thank you to the judges from Road to California. Lots of credit goes to Beth & Cindy who make setting up the booth look so easy, but we all know its alot of work.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us at Road. We always have a great time seeing everyone. The Monday after Road, Debbie from Wooden Spool Designs taught a class at the store. Once again, we had such a good time. There were 3 fun projects made from wool. I will show you 2 that I was able to finish in class. We hope to make this an annual event at the store. The pumpkin and acorn are new patterns that Debbie will debut this Spring. How lucky we were to be able to make them ahead of the pattern release. Thanks Debbie!

We have lots going on in the store. Lots of kits, lots of new classes, and more to come...Here is a little preview, but you will want to come in to the store to see what else we have going on.

Suzanne is teaching the Pinwheel Star. She has taken the pattern and made a cute tablerunner from a pack of our pre-cut charm squares. The tablerunner is done in Easter fabrics, but would look good in any fabrics. What an awesome gift for someone. This is a really great class & you learn how to do inset seams. The pattern for the class is for a full-size quilt, so once you learn the technique, you can keep on making blocks.

Road to California has started off with a bang! We have been having so much fun seeing all of our customers & we have enjoyed all of the new people we have met! If you haven't had a chance to come by, there is still time! The show is open today from 9:30AM to 6PM and Sunday from 10AM to 4PM! We have sold out of alot of kits, but don't worry, we still have plenty more left.

Aunt Grace Circle of Friends

In honor of the 100th birthday of Aunt Grace, Judie Rothermel has created a very special Aunt Grace collection, Circle of Friends, to be merchandised exclusively through a BOM program designed & developed by Vicki Bellino of Bloom Creek. As the originator of 1930’s reproduction fabrics for the quilting industry, Judie presents her Aunt Grace devotees with a group of prints that is varied in color, scale and motif, as well as classic Aunt Grace solids.
Together, Judie Rothermel and Vicki Bellino have designed a project that’s not only
beautiful, but also provides quilters with new techniques to advance their quilting skills.
Aunt Grace Circle of Friends is the result of months of collaboration between Judie Rothermel

and Vicki Bellino. Their friendship has developed because of quilting, as was the case with
Aunt Grace’s own circle of friends. The quilt design represents many Aunt Grace favorites, including pinwheels, the Dresden plate, her local county fair and cake sales. Judie also captures Aunt Grace’s love of small prints in this exclusive collection, and the quilt design incorporates the use of solids, which Aunt Grace used often in her quilts.

Vicki adds her own creative “spin” on the theme by designing a quilt with her unique interpretation of the traditional Aunt Grace style, as well as her personal passion for English paper piecing and appliqué. The appliqué is minimal, making it suitable for even a beginning quilter and instructions for two techniques are included in the instructions. Throughout the 7-month program, Vicki shares her easy methods, allowing the quilter to experiment and learn as she or he creates. This makes Circle of Friends a perfect way to introduce new quilters to Aunt Grace while also appealing to the long-time Aunt Grace collector!
