Some April Happenings...

Reminder - we will be closed Saturday, March 30th. We hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

 

Tote or purse class - The 1st Friday of each month we will feature a purse or tote class. Aprils purse is the Run Around Purse. And just like the name, this is the perfect thing to take when you are running around.

 

Remember when these mesh bags were all the rage? Well, they are back! And the mesh comes in so many fun colors - we are having a class on Monday April 15th or Saturday, June 8th from 10AM to 2PM. These bags make perfect gifts. Include them with a quilt gift at a baby shower, or give one with a beach towel in it - the possibilities are endless.

 

We love Buggy Barn Quilts & this one doesn't dissapoint. Welcome Home is from one the newest Buggy Barn books. Come take this class and learn the Buggy Barn way to quilt.

Saturday, April 27th from 10AM to 5PM.

 

We also have a Use Your Ruler class every 4th Friday, taught by Shelly. She features a different ruler every month & you learn how to use it by making your own project. Some of these rulers may be ones that you already own & never used, or only used once. It's a great class, full of useful information.



 











Our Civil war & Christmas club are still ongoing. Erin is also here every 2nd Friday for Applique Club. You can work on any applique project that you want, & Erin is here to help you. The cost is only $10.00 per session. Stitchery club is the 1st Monday of each month & Pamala is here to help you work on any project. Both the Applique & Stitchery club offer a great way to learn or improve your techniques.

Spring Fling

 

Spring Fling starts today. All 8 stores open today thru Saturday from 9AM to 6PM. Join in the fun as we pay tribute to Monet.

What's New?

Can you believe it's already February? We have a full schedule of classes and clubs.
The first Monday of the month is Stitchery Club. Bring any project you want to work on and Pamala will be available to help you with any stitches. If you don't have a project, she will help you pick one out. Your project can include any wool project you have wanted to start or finish.
The first Tuesday of the month is Civil War club. We will be making a civil war quilt. Bring your stash or buy a monthly kit. The choice is yours.
The second Friday of the month is Appliqué club. Erin is experienced in all types of appliqué from machine to needle turn. Bring a project or start a new one. She will help you with any of the different techniques.
Christmas Club is the third Friday of the month. You will make a different project each month that can be saved for gift giving at the end other year. In addition, you will also receive a kit to make a darling 6" block that can be put together at the end of the year to make a special quilt.

There is still time to sign up for the beginning machine quilting or beginning quilting class. Pamala teaches the beginning machine quilting class. Learn to quilt on your home sewing machine. Before Pamala used a long arm, she quilted her quilts on her home machine. This class begins 2/7 from 10am to 1pm. It runs for 6 weeks. 2/14 , 2/21, 3/7, 3/14, and 3/21
The beginning quilt class starts on 2/12 and also runs for 6 weeks. In this class you will make a sampler quilt, learning a variety of blocks and techniques that are popular in making most quilts.

Use your ruler will be the fourth Friday of each month. This month, learn to use the June Tailor twister ruler. This ruler makes the twister technique so much easier and faster. Make a tablerunner or quilt. The quilt makes a perfect baby gift.

Saturday, February 23rd Pamala will be teaching a paper piecing class. Here is the perfect opportunity to see if you like this technique. The book she is using has a variety of patriotic blocks to choose from.

Saturday, March 9th, Cathy will be teaching a cut apart hats class. This methods is very fun and very forgiving. You cut apart your fabrics, shuffle them and sew them back together.

We still have room in a few of our block of the month programs. One very popular BOM is the Primitive Gatherings Favorite Things. It combines wool and fabric. Here are the 1st three blocks. This BOM is only $8.99 per month.

Hexagon Paper Piecing Class

Join us this Saturday for a great class on paper piecing hexagons. You can make either of these patterns, its just a matter of arranging them. If you don't want yours to be this small, you can use bigger hexagons. We have a variety of sizes available at the store. Call the store to sign up 951-737-3959 - hope to see you there!

Debbie from Wooden Spool Designs...

There is still room in Monday's class being taught by Debbie of Wooden Spool designs. Debbie always brings a new design and this year she has shared that it is called Ring of Roses. Doesn't that sound fun? I know that in addition to making a wool mat, you will also learn how to make a rose out of wool. Your class fee includes everything you need to make the projects. Road to California starts this Thursday and runs until Sunday. We will be taking all of our new samples and kits to the Convention Center tonight. Stay tuned to see some previews of the booth, once the set-up is complete. We are in booths 1602/1604, so come visit us.

Go Ducks!

Just watched an awesome volleyball game! So proud of the Oregon girls volleyball team - going to the finals for the 1st time! They play for the National Title on Saturday! Game time is at 5:00PM which means the store will be closing at 4:30PM - we don't close early often.
